Early Life and Musical Roots
Growing up in the small town of Rantoul, music became a natural part of life from an early age. Inspired by a mother who was both a singer and musician for many churches, the foundation for a lifelong musical journey was built inside the home. Surrounded by melodies, harmonies, and instruments, the passion for music developed naturally and quickly became more than just a hobby.
Learning the Art of Music
As a child, the artist explored multiple instruments including the piano, drums, and keyboard. Over time, playing music became second nature. Instead of following traditional methods alone, inspiration was taken from many different musicians and styles. By blending various influences together, a unique and unorthodox keyboard style was created, helping shape a sound that stands apart from others.
Developing a Unique Sound
The journey did not stop at performing instruments. Creativity expanded into beat production using keyboards and drum pads. Later, learning music production software on computers opened even more doors for artistic growth. Through experimentation and dedication, the ability to produce original beats and record music independently became a major part of the creative process. This evolution allowed complete artistic freedom and helped establish a signature sound.
Passion for Singing and Recording
Although producing and playing instruments became important skills, singing and recording music always remained the true passion. Daily practice and dedication helped sharpen vocal abilities over the years. Inspiration came from legendary singers such as Charlie Wilson, Donny Hathaway, and Luther Vandross. Listening closely to these iconic voices helped shape vocal style, musical expression, and emotional delivery.
Competition Success and Recognition
Talent and hard work began earning recognition early in life through performances and music competitions. Participating in numerous contests helped build confidence and stage presence. In 2007, a major achievement came with winning the National Choral Singer Award for the state of Illinois. In addition, first place was earned in Solo and Ensemble Competition performances, proving exceptional vocal ability and musicianship.
Becoming an Independent Recording Artist
After years of performing and developing musical skills, the focus shifted toward writing and recording original music. Since 2020, three EPs and multiple singles have been released, showcasing growth as an independent singer, songwriter, producer, and musician. Every project reflects personal experiences, creativity, and dedication to authentic artistry.

Continuing to build momentum, the newest single, Back to My Old Ways, was released on April 8 and is available on all major streaming platforms. The song represents another step forward in the artist’s evolving career while staying true to the signature sound developed over the years.
